Review submitted for Asus UL30A-A2 Thin Light 13.3-Inch Laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium) (ASUL30AA2)
Pros: Comfortable Keyboard, Quiet, 8 Second Boot, Lightweight, Quality Display, Long Battery Life
Cons:
Other Comments: Almost the perfect computer. Dual partitioned for a Windows 7 OS that boots in 40 seconds, and a Linux Express Gate that boots in 8 seconds. Quiet, 10 hour working battery life, excellent buy. Only con is the 1.3ghz duo-core, which can be noticeable at times.

Review submitted for Asus UL30A-A2 Thin Light 13.3-Inch Laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium) (ASUL30AA2)
Pros: Comfortable Keyboard, Quiet, Long Battery Life, Metallic Finish, Quality Display, Lightweight, Cool
Cons: Slow
Other Comments: This is the best laptop I've found in its class - its super-thin and lightweight like a netbook, but its faster, comes with Windows 7 pre-installed and has a 13.3 inch screen. After unboxing, I was first impressed with how how good it looks. The silver model really makes the keyboard stand out and the metallic finish on the lid makes the laptop look like it was much more expensive than it was. This laptop replaced a laptop that I've had for many years that ran way too hot and had very poor battery life. Wanting something more mobile, this laptop met my needs almost perfectly. I am still amazed at how cool it runs. After watching basketball highlights for an hour, the UL30-A2 was still cool and I had 88% battery life remaining. I'm not sure how long the battery runs for sure (because so many variables factor in), but I can use it off and on over a period of three to four days without charging it. Cons: No DVD Drive (wish they could figure out how to add a slot-load on this size although I've been able to get by without it so far) and the touch-pad is a little sensitive (but I'm getting used to it). I almost hate to say that performance is a con, but it is the only thing that keeps this laptop from being a perfect fit for me. If it was a little faster, I would use this notebook for everything. Compared to other models in this price range, the looks are better, the battery life is longer, the two year warranty is longer, and the keyboard seems more durable. Bottom line: If you're looking for a nice looking laptop that's extremely portable, faster than a netbook, comes with Windows 7 and is cheaper than a high-end laptop, this is the perfect notebook. This is a great fit for people who travel often, students, or for those who have a sense of style and want portability.

Pros: Quiet, Fast, Quality Display, Long Battery Life, Comfortable Keyboard
Cons: none
Other Comments: I nearly pulled the trigger on a Macbook Pro but then I found this little workhorse. Not quite as fast a processor, but AMAZING battery life. I use mainly for web/email, powerpoint presentations. Quality is excellent and I think the screen is quite nice. I've had it one month and no regrets so far! No DVD isn't a big deal - I bought an external DVD drive (rarely used/needed).
