Other Comments: These sound amazing paired with a dedicated headphone amp and a high quality source. Much better for various kinds of music as opposed to a certain genre, a reason why I've chose them. I used to own the W5000's and those were only suited for certain genres such as jazz or classical.
One of the main reason for choosing these were their appearance, I'll be honest. I'm a big fan of this brand, but am disappointed with the wood used in the cups. The first pair I received I returned due to smudges in the finish on both cups, and the second pair I received had dark spots in one of the cups that didn't really even look like wood knots. I kept them though.
I recommend purchasing leather pads, ones on the W5000 will fit on these, if you really want to be pampered by the headphones. The pleather didn't cut it for me.
