EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
(CN1585IS)
Pros: Nice Bokeh, Easily Interchangeable, Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
Cons:
Other Comments: This is an amazing lens! Absolutely love it. Using as a "walk about " lens and love the extra at the wide angle end from my previous 18mm. Quick to focus and photos are clear, sharp,& colors vibrant. As close to an "L" lens you can get. Has been said its heavy & it is a bit but you get used to it quickly. I can deal with a bit heavy to get the quality this lens puts out. Haven't noticed the lens creep some comment about.
Yes, I recommend this product

EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
(CN1585IS)
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Consistent Output, Strong Construction, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged
Cons:
Other Comments: equavalent of 24-136 mm on a full frame camera. the only lens made that goes that wide and that long, offering the user a good wide angle perspective for landscape, useful indoor coverage of rooms and good on the long side for portraits, etc,not cheap if compared to the full frame 28-135 mm, the 17 to 85mm or the 18-135mm apsc. what you get is a lens that will give you great results at all focal lenghts and f/stops,the same can not be said about the previously mentioned lens. for those who need a wide to mid telephoto zoom and wish not to compromise quality and can afford it this is the lens one needs to have. i purchased this lens and sold my 17-40mm f/4L, which is great for super wide angle shots when i owned a 5d mark2,i sold that camera after realizing that it was a waste of money having both formats plus i mainly shoot for fun.please dont misunderstand me the 5d mark2 is a remarkable camera but deciding only to use the apsc format allowed my 70-300mm to be a 112-480mm.i do miss the true 17 mm my 17-40mm f4L gave me on the full frame but it was only 28 mm on a apsc camera again based on cost i choose to stay with the apsc format only.

EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
(CN1585IS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Durable, Good Walk Around Lens, Consistent Output
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: I took this lens to Bangkok and debated bringing a 70-300 telephoto as well. Never needed it. The range covers everything and the photo quality is excellent. I often shoot at hip level on the street to avoid attracting attention, and the focus is so fast I get great shots even at night.

(CN1585IS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: Using with T1i, first impression is that it's bigger and heavier than the 18-55 kit lense. Aside from that it focuses a little quicker and the longer range is nice.

EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
(CN1585IS)
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction, Consistent Output
Cons:
Other Comments: This is a very nice lens. The first copy i received had a small speck of dust inside the lens, so i exchanged it. The new one is good.
After seeing the clarity of my 100mm macro lens, I was not satisfied with the average kit lens performance, so bought this one. This is SHARP. There is vignetting at 15mm at f3.5. But at f5.8, its almost resolved. I am loving the 15mm wide angle as Iam a big fan of landscape photography.
Yes, I recommend this product

Wothy upgrade from the kit lens

EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
(CN1585IS)
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Cons:
Other Comments: As a casual photographer with a appreciation of the sharp images, I bought this lens (USM 15-85mm). It produced images better than the kit lens. Combined the lens and more experiences in low light/night conditions, I have taken a lot more good night photos than before. The relative wide range adds some flexibility.
At around 85mm, I can take clear shots at the speed of 1/13 second. At the other end, I can take pretty good pictures at about 1/4 second or longer.
You may need an external flash for the night portrait shots.
The maximum aperture at long focal length is 5.6, which is not very wide and makes you use longer shutter speed. But because it has very good image stability functionality, you can afford to do so.
Yes, I recommend this product

Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Sharp, Strong Construction, Nice Bokeh, Quiet, Consistent Output, Rugged, Very Good IQ, Easily Interchangeable, Durable, Smooth Zoom
Cons:
Other Comments: I use this lens with my 50D as a general purpose lens. 15-85(24-136) is ideal. So is IS, USM AF and smooth zoom and smooth manual AF override. The lens is quiet and has great IQ and bokeh.
