Pros: Seems to be working after the second full charge. Canon brand battery. I picked this battery because the specs matched my camera exactly. No over-voltage.
Cons: Li battery. Many fires in the US are caused by charging Li batteries in an un-attended manner.Don't charge your batteries over night. I would say dont use 3rd party batteries. Be careful with them!

Battery Pack LP-E8 For EOS Rebel T2i , T3i & T5i- Bulk packaging
(CNLPE8)
Pros: Reliable, Easy to Install, Long-Lasting, Fast Recharge, Solid Construction
Cons:
Other Comments: The Canon battery and charger is the best. I ordered some generic batteries with a charger from another supplier. One battery went bad inside six months. They had about half the life of the Canon battery per charge, even though they supposedly had a higher mah rating. The charger doesn't make a good connection to any of the batteries unless you insert the battery at an angle. Stick with the OEM stuff for batteries and chargers.
Yes, I recommend this product

Pros: Great to have 2nd
Cons:
Other Comments: Great value, original from Canon. This is great for backup battery. Don't want to have battery running out in the middle of some memorable moment, better to have it standby fully charge.

Other Comments: I've shot pics with my T2i and filled an 8GB card and the 2 Batteries in the grip were not dead. (over 700 pics in an afternoon of family and horses) From reviews I have read of aftermarket batteries I think Canon is the way to go.

Canon
Battery Pack LP-E8 For EOS Rebel T2i , T3i & T5i- Bulk packaging
(CNLPE8)
Pros: Solid Construction, Reliable, Easy to Install, Fast Recharge
Cons: Loses Charge Quickly
Other Comments: For a Canon camera, I would use nothing but a Canon battery. However, I was shocked to find that I only get about 100 - 18 megapixels jpeg. shots per battery charge compared to my last Canon XSi 12 megapixel camera which gave me at least 1000 shots per battery charge. My solution to this was to buy a third battery as a extra backup since I easily can shoot 300 shots on a vacation day. The new camera shoots such extraordinary photos that it is worth the cost and inconvenience of buying a third battery.
Yes, I recommend this product
