Other Comments: When it comes to the whole concept of compact ultrazooms, I'm a fan. It seems that every manufacturer has at least one of these small cameras with long lenses in their line these days, and it's really no surprise why. They're the photographic equivalent of duct tape: not always the ideal or most elegant tool for the job, but applicable in a whole lot of picture-taking situations just the same.

Good budget camera

Cons: Unable to use as webcam
Other Comments: I set it on the left grand piano end block and video my playing!. The mono mic sounds good and the need for stereo sound is overblown. The audio is 16-bit 44.1 khz. What about that annoying pop-up flash? I simply put a small piece of tape to hold it shut! The mechanism has not been damaged. I'm not a big flash user. I came from using Olympus OM1 thirty years ago. Until I upgrade to better this will do fine! I have full confidence in factory refurbished, which this is. I like how the battery is recharged away from the camera. That way you can have a backup battery ready to go. Beach was very good about taking back my returned Olympus FE4020. Although it's really good in many respects, the FE4020 uses 8-bit 8khz audio which sounded too grainy for me. I'm quite happy with my purchase
