Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: Great Zoom, Easy To Use, Tremendous optical zoom, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Large Clear LCD, Good Image Stabilization, Very steady - no blurring
Cons:
Other Comments: I tested comparable models by Nikon and Fuji, and I liked the zoom and stablization on this camera much better. I originally thought I wanted a DSLR camera like the Nikon or Canon models but really didn't want to spent $800 and up for a good setup. My brother-in-law had one of these and I was amazed at how easy it was to use, the powerful zoom, and pictures he'd taken recently while hiking. The flash seems to recycle quite quickly. I also like that I can pop up the flash when I need it and pop it down when I don't. My point and shoot camera, while it takes good pictures, is a bit of a headache to enable/disable the flash.
Yes, I recommend this product

Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality
Cons: A little bulky to carry

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Easy To Use, Good Image Quality
Cons: Lag time is a little long, Lag / Shutter Delay
Other Comments: The camera is a little heavy. Some may find it to be a bit bulky as well. I considered a SLR type but decided on this one because of what I had read in Consumer Reports about it.

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Good Image Quality, Easy To Use, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD
Cons: Zoom Lens Gets Stuck, Lag / Shutter Delay
Other Comments: Use it as "back up" for SLR. Zoom Lens gets stuck, and need to wait for camera to go "through motions" to get it going. It is not a reliable "point & Shoot"
When taking pictures they are of excellent quality.
"Long" lag time

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: The SX30 is a great camera for all-around shooting. Its sharpness at full telephoto is surprisingly good. Sharpness at full wide-angle is less than desired. Still, throughout its entire 35x range, quite acceptable prints can be made.

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: Great carry around camera, Small package, Excellent results, Extremely versitile, Unreal zoom power, It's a Canon, It's a great little Canon
Cons: None found
Other Comments: I normally shoot with a 5D Mark II. This camera will never be a Mark II but it is great to have when you do not have your regular camera with you. This great little camera can be with you full time and will allow you to capture what would have normally been lost. Fantastic job Canon, great little product for anyone.

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: So many functions, Convenient, Sturdy case, Super impressive zoom, Totally worth every penny
Cons: Not so stabilized image, Poor Flash, Hard to zoom to 140x, Poor on screen color
Other Comments: Overall is a very good camera, very sturdy case, easy to use functions, all buttons are conveniently located at finger tip. The only compliant I have is it's hard to stabilized the image during zoom-in, an it takes a bit too long (time wise) to wait for zooming in or out - at 140x soom. And the large screen (on the back) color is not too sharp, the color appear to be soft.

Pros: Easy to use, Great Features, Flip viewer screen, Love the zoom, Professional photos, Awesome action shots
Cons: none
Other Comments: Truly a "camera for dummies" with great video and photo capabilities. Takes great distant shots from the bleachers for my children's soccer games. Love the option to flip the viewing screen over to protect the screen from scratches. Can't say enough good things about this purchase.

Powershot SX30 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera w/ 35x Optical Zoom and HD Video
(CNPSSX30IS)
Pros: HD movies, Image Stabilization, Image Quality, 35x Zoom
Cons: Slow "Burst" Mode
Other Comments: Took it out of the box and shot my nephew's hockey game with excellent results. I left it on full auto, since I didn't have time to read the manual and was very pleased. IQ is excellent for a P&S camera and the HD movies are crisp and smooth on my pc. Canon's image stabilization is amazing... caught a nice hand-held "portrait" of my nephew at full 35x zoom, through glass, and across the ice!!! My only gripe so far (and I knew it would be) is the "burst mode"... just over 1 fps is not great for shooting sports. So far, this is the only trade-off I've found in an otherwise very well-rounded P&S.
Yes, I recommend this product
