Review submitted for Crucial 256GB Crucial m4 SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid-State Drive (CRCT256M4SSD2)
Pros: Reliable, Easy To Install, Fast, Quiet
Cons:
Other Comments: awesome- breathed new life into my trusty netbook. If you are planning on cloning your existing drive I recommend the one with the transfer kit it comes with software and transfer connector. When you use the EZGig software or whatever it comes with there is a box for 4K alignment make sure you check that. Cloning is fast and i am a happy camper.

5 out of 5 stars   Sexy SSD in a Panasonic CF-74 Toughbook

Review submitted for Crucial 256GB Crucial m4 SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid-State Drive (CRCT256M4SSD2)
Pros: Reliable, Easy To Install, Quiet, Highly Compatible, Fast
Cons: Expensive
Other Comments: I am planning a Round the World Motorcycle Adventure Tour, leaving late summer 2012, this year! I am a professional photographer and video producer, so I will be taking some cameras along. All cameras now shoot to SD memory cards, so as I fill them up, I'll be transferring the media to my Panasonic Toughbook. The Toughbook is legendary for its ruggedness, they are used by the military, in the ads it shows it being run over by a Hummer, etc, water proof, all the things a laptop shouldn't be! The hard drives are encased in a gel jacket. Anyway, I decided the only way to improve my Toughbook was to get it a SSD hard drive. Honestly, I was only concerned with its reliablility. My motorcycle, a KLR-650 vibrates a lot, and I'll be seeing some pretty rough roads, so a normal hard drive wouldn't likely last very long. Using Windows 7 back up Drive Image tool, I moved my existing system to the SSD drive, and in less than an hour, I was happily buzzing along. Since I was mostly looking at the SSD for reliability in a harsh envirnment, I didn't do any performance testing of before and after. Now I wish I had, because this drive feels fast! I did do some quick benchmarks from one of my video programs, and its about twice as fast as my other SATA drives. Good times!

5 out of 5 stars   MacBook pro mid 2010 upgrade
By SalesEng on June 14, 2012

Review submitted for Crucial 256GB Crucial m4 SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid-State Drive (CRCT256M4SSD2)
Pros: Quiet, Highly Compatible, Fast, Easy To Install
Cons:
Other Comments: Updated my mid 2010 MacBook Pro from the standard 500 Gb 5400 RPM drive. Although smaller in capacity, I wouldn't go back. Negotiated as expected with SATA II since the chipset only supports this. The standard drive would only negotiate SATA I 1.5 speeds. Gained additional battery usage with the low power requirements of this SSD.
