Review submitted for Celestron Outland 10X25 Compact Waterproof Binoculars with Rubber Covering & Comfort Grip (CT71166C)
Pros: Waterproof, Inexpensive, Bak 4, Compact
Cons: No twist up eye cups
Other Comments: The Celestron is perfect for a compact, WP pair with better quality optics than similar ones under $40. Bak4 prisms seem to make a big difference. The no fault warranty won't be a factor since it requires a $25 return fee. I'd rather buy another pair if somehow I manage to manhandle mine. I use it to bow hunt and target shoot. Will try to use it to watch the Indy 500 but I generally use an old pair of wide angle 7x35 Bausch & Lombs for sports viewing. Thinking having my wife carry the compact pair would give us some versatility. So far so good with no complaints on either (binoculars, that is - heh heh). I initially purchased the Bushnell H2O equivalent new but it was out of collimation. That seller was fantastic and accepted the return for a full refund. I also have a Brunton 12x26 lite-tech which does not have the rubber coating nor is it waterproof at the same price range so I'll use that for viewing out of my Chicago office window and for some star gazing if it ever clears up again. While I haven't actually tested the Outland in a bucket of water, it definitely holds up fine in the rain. At this price point, I don't think you could do better. Only suggestion would be to add twist up eye cups.

Review submitted for Celestron Outland 10X25 Compact Waterproof Binoculars with Rubber Covering & Comfort Grip (CT71166C)
Pros: Lightweight, Pocket "able", Waterprooof, Convenient, Armored comfort grip, Inexpensive Not Cheap
Cons: I don't have any problems
Other Comments: These are easy to take along. Compact, light easy to use. If lost or stolen I would be less than enchanted but not devastated. Easy to replace w/o a major wallet hit. I have a high dollar pair of Swarovskis that only get used when I know I am going to need them. (Too many $$$ tied up to just throw behind the seat and always have them). These are my behind the seat, always with me pair. I actually have 2 pair. At this price and performance capability my wife has her own. No need to "share" and spend the time adjusting one pair back and forth. They are NOT as "good" (clear, light gathering, distortion free etc) as my Swarovskis but they are only about 2% of the cost! They ARE as good as compacts that cost 4-5 times as much. They are waterproof and rubber armored-I really like that. I put them in the carry case and just keep them behind the seat. Kind of my Semper Paratis pair.
