Review submitted for Cuisinart CBK200FR - Convection Bread Maker - REFURBISHED (CUICBK200FR)
Pros: Consistency, Delicious Bread, Easy To Clean, Helpful Manual, Simple Settings, Attractive, Easy To Use
Cons: Noisy
Other Comments: Pros: We use the unit almost exclusively for baking bread. We've tried many of the recipes in the booklet and have been delighted. It's terrifically easy to use and even if you only want to dump in the ingredients and not touch it again, you can do that . For more variety in your bread, it signals you when to put in added ingredients like stir in's and seeds for the crust. The option of choosing your crust color is great. Cons: The motor for the stirring cycles is a bit noisy but we can put it in our laundry room and hardly notice it at all. Probably wouldn't be a good choice if it had to be in your kitchen and you needed a quiet environment. The top and especially the glass viewing port get quite hot while cooking but that's to be expected and people will learn after their first cooking experience to not touch them.

4 out of 5 stars   Good Breadmaker (with a few caveats)

Review submitted for Cuisinart CBK200FR - Convection Bread Maker - REFURBISHED (CUICBK200FR)
Pros: Great recipes, Easy to use
Cons: Burns easily
Other Comments: As many others have noted, this machine should only ever be set to the Light crust setting. It really does a number on breads at higher settings, rendering them inedible. The beeps and settings are a little bit cryptic at first, but you just need to remember to go step-by-step, starting with the number for what kind of bread you want. If you change that after adjusting other settings, it will revert everything else back to defaults for each preset. The recipe book that comes with the machine makes some very nice breads. We particularly enjoyed the Lemon Poppyseed recipe. The Challah loaf is also very nice. Pay attention to the ingredient order - wet stuff first, then dry, with yeast (if needed) on top. I can't stress this enough - LIGHT crust setting only!
