Other Comments: This was not what I expected. I basically bought it for the fine grater. Some foods are nicer with a finer grate than the disk that comes with the machine provides. I find the specialty disk is not a grater at all. The disk simply has tiny teeth at stick up. There is no hole for the food to go through so it stays on top of the disk and just gets pulverized. I tried beets and just ended up with purple mush. I'm sure the other disks do what they are supposed to but I didn't buy it for those.

Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Powerful Motor
Cons: Expensive so are parts
Other Comments: My second cusinart, replacing one I bought in 1981 that still ran but broke the lid. This one has a larger capacity and the wider feeding tube is welcome. I have mainly used it to mince my own hamburger (store-bought has ammonia in it) and to slice veggies for various dishes. As always, makes tedious, time-consuming jobs simple and is easy to clean. Take time to learn how to use all the blades!
