The instructions say you don't need to use any oil at all, but I did put some olive oil on a paper towel and rubbed it on the raised grill ribs. Nothing sticks and the chicken breasts came out tender and juicy. The pan is light and cleans in a snap. Healthier than a teflon pan, as it does not emit toxic fumes...especially important if you own birds, and their cages are anywhere near your kitchen!
