I also wanted it to use on the cloth interior (seats and floorboards) of my cars. I works great in both applications. I love the fact that it is cordless, and that it has a built in crevise tool, as well as an easily installed rolling brush head that stays in place. My 2 concerns are that the crevise tool does not lock in the out position very well so you cant use it when you apply much force.
