2-Pack M-990i 10MP No Glow Infrared Mini Game Camera
(E1MOUM990I)
Pros: Works as designed, including (assumed) waterproof case
SD card allows large number of photos before download
Color daytime images, B&W (IR) nighttime photos -- both are fine
Camoflague case design
50-degree Field-of-View
Motion detection
Optional 1-sec, 5-sec, etc sequence between images
Cons: Expensive
USB-cable required for download (BlueTooth or Wireless would be nice)
Blurry motion images; not as fast a shutter speed as you might hope
8 AA batteries required
Difficult to understand how to use 'Aim' and distance and Field-of-View (but do-able)
Not-quite-understood, yet -- but no images of birds at feeder (clearly in Field-of-View)
Other Comments: These cameras were a 'fun' purchase -- not intended to be a requirement. Similarly, tho we wanted better-than-poor quality, they were not intended to be of the best quality possible.
We could probably use a half dozen of these cameras to properly monitor our yard, but the price cost restricted us to just the pair of 2 (slightly cheaper than 2 separate purchases).
Despite our having never seen deer in our fenced-in backyard (we've never understood why they didn't come -- we'd just never seen them, nor any implication that they'd literally made the leap) -- but the cameras were instrumental to (quickly!, after 1st night of using them!) to prove at least one deer had gotten bold (and hungry and destructive). Darn.
Yes, I recommend this product
