I just returned from a trip to Alaska and the pictures are stunning! The zoom is great. I had just gotten this camera, and had some hesitations about taking it on such a big trip, so I took along my other larger camera that I love. I wound up using THIS camera the entire time and did not even use the other at all. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone. The only drawback that I see is the lack of a viewfinder, which is so helpful on bright sunny days. Take the plunge!
