Great Solution - for Decent Sound

Pros: Compact
Decent sound
Easy setup
Nice looking
Cons: Can't replace a true 5.1 system for depth of sound
Other Comments: This sound bar was the first that I had ever purchased or heard used in a home. All of my other systems are either 5.1 or 7.1 systems, but my home office location where I have my LG 47" TV did not lend itself well to wiring or setting up one of those systems. Besides that my listening position varies so there is no one set focal point for the speakers so I thought that a sound bar would be the best solution. My LG's internal speakers were terrible so anything would have been an improvement. The Sony sound bar is a huge improvement over those internal speakers, but cannot compete with a true 5.1 or larger system. In spite of all the technological mumbo jumbo they just cannot make the small centrally located speakers sound like speakers spread around a room. Unfortunately I am spoiled by good surround sound systems, but if I weren't then I would be much more impressed.
Bottom line is this sound bar will improve the sound quality of any built-in speakers that I have heard by a decent margin and if you are technologically challenged or cannot logistically work a true 5.1 or 7.1 system into your location than this is a good solution.
