Review submitted for Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SP Di VC USD XLD for Canon EOS Bundle with Hoya Filter Kit (E1TM70300VCEOS)
Pros: Great value, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Easily Interchangeable
Cons: Hood Covers Zoom
Other Comments: Tamron made had greatness in mind when they introduced this lens. Out of the box I started snapping some fantastic hand held shots! The value speaks for itself in the amazing photos compared to a more expensive lens. The one negative which isn't really one is that you can't zoom when the hood is in the storage position. Actually, this encourages you to keep the hood where it belongs covering the lens!

Review submitted for Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SP Di VC USD XLD for Canon EOS Bundle with Hoya Filter Kit (E1TM70300VCEOS)
Pros: Consistent Output, Strong Construction, Lightweight, Easily Interchangeable, Nice Bokeh, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Cons: Poor in Low Light
Other Comments: I think this is a good lens for the price with consistent performance. Focus is fast, VC is so useful, and USD better is par or better than Canon 70-300 IS USM. I took a chance with this lens and I am glad that I did.

5 out of 5 stars   So far, so good.

Review submitted for Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SP Di VC USD XLD for Canon EOS Bundle with Hoya Filter Kit (E1TM70300VCEOS)
Pros: Consistent Output
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: With the exception of the AF being a bit fickle when I attempt to zoom, the lens seems to be a fantastic value. It is heavy, but I quickly learned to adjust my hold to accommodate its size. Focus is quiet, though far from silent. Outdoors the noise is not an issue, but I am finding that when inside I prefer MF to avoid drawing attention. The filters were a major bonus for the bundle price.

Review submitted for Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SP Di VC USD XLD for Canon EOS Bundle with Hoya Filter Kit (E1TM70300VCEOS)
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: Read lots of reviews online, in forums etc.. Needed an all around lens. I generally always have this one on the camera. It has great optics and is fast to focus. Just a little heavy, but I don't really have anything to compare it to except my kit lens.
