4 out of 5 stars   Great camera for the price

Review submitted for Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS Bundle w/ 8GB Memory, Reader, Case, Mini Tripod & More (E2CNPSSD4500IS)
Pros: Good in Low Light, Good Image Quality, Easy To Use
Cons: Short Battery Life
Other Comments: Great camera, I really like it. I bought it as an upgrade for my Nikon Coolpix and for the HD video. So far I am really happy with the picture quality, its far superior to my Nikon. I'm not fully happy with the video however. Its HD and very good quality but has trouble focusing. Sometimes it won't focus and you end up with blurry footage. Also if you are shooting movement sometimes it will go blurry before it refocuses again. But overall its a great camera for the price.

3 out of 5 stars   inconvenient to use

Review submitted for Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS Bundle w/ 8GB Memory, Reader, Case, Mini Tripod & More (E2CNPSSD4500IS)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: I don't like the camera. I should go to the store to take a look first. Anyway… SD4500 is very inconvenient to use. I had a DSC-W120 before. When I change the mode, I just turned the shooting mode dial. Now I have to press the FUNC/SET button and use the up or down arrows or turn the dial to choose. It is very troublesome.

5 out of 5 stars   Best Camera we've ever owned
By Canon Fan on January 25, 2011

Review submitted for Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS Bundle w/ 8GB Memory, Reader, Case, Mini Tripod & More (E2CNPSSD4500IS)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: Had several Canon cameras in the past and recently bought my first Nikon S8100, when looking for a good camera with 1080p video capabilities. We were looking to eliminate our previous camera and Flip video camera for a newer camera that could do both just as good & be in one unit. We returned the Nikon camera after a week, mainly because it wasn't much better than our 2-year-old Canon camera and wasn't as satisfied with the quality & features. During this time, I read several reviews comparing this Canon SD4500 to the Nikon S8100 and noticed the SD4500 had what we were looking for. I've had & used the camera for a few weeks now. This is the best still compact camera we've ever owned, as far as features, zoom, and picture quality. In addition, the 1080p video is better than our Flip video and we're very satisfied with its quality and HDMI output for the tv.

4 out of 5 stars   Great Camera Package for Price
By Dave on January 14, 2011

Review submitted for Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS Bundle w/ 8GB Memory, Reader, Case, Mini Tripod & More (E2CNPSSD4500IS)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: Pros: Light-weight, sleek build Retro color option a plus Photos are clear and crisp Very cool "Face recognition" feature on as many subjects as there are in frame Camcorder feature records beautifully Cons: -The battery does not charge inside the camera, while attached to a USB - it will only charge if the battery is taken out and put into the charger holder and separately plugged into the outlet. Would be nice if the cord we use to DL photos onto the desktop would also serve as a charger. -Recording function is a bit hard to figure out ---- not too user friendly. If I'm in record mode, I can still take photos, which is odd. I'm used to record being only record, and photo being just photo.

4 out of 5 stars   Great camera but difficult to use manual
By John the doc on December 31, 2010
Verified Purchase
Review submitted for Canon PowerShot SD4500 IS Bundle w/ 8GB Memory, Reader, Case, Mini Tripod & More (E2CNPSSD4500IS)
Pros: Multi-functions, small and lightweight, Nice zoom
Cons: Manual lacks clarity
Other Comments: I got this as wanted something lightweight to take when I go hiking or other places where my heavier SLR camera is not convenient and this seems to fit my needs. The manual is difficult to follow as it does not have the detail and sequencial order needed for a camera with its complex functions. There are not enough illustrations and there are too many instructions that are completed by advising a move to another part of the manual. Learning a single function sometimes requires moving to 4 or 5 different manual sections. Nikon does a much better job with its manuals compared to Canon.
