Other Comments: This is a good all around camera with great optical zoom in a compact camera. The only flaw is the lag time if you are taking several photos in a row could be a little bit better... (This is due to the charging of the flash, I think)

Other Comments: I have had a few olympus cameras but it seems they improve them all the time. This new one is easy to use and should work great for my up coming trip. I have just been doing different shots so far to get use to it. I like the size and when you grab the camera to take a shot your fingers are far away from the lense and view finder area's. All I can say right now is NICE going Olympus.

Other Comments: This camera replaces an Olympus Stylus 1010 (10MP, 7x zoom) which was dropped on its lens and broke. The 10x zoom on the 9000 is great, but it makes the camera weigh more and the frame is bigger (it's still easy to carry around though). Pictures are only slightly grainy on its standard quality setting when viewed at full resolution; changing picture quality to Fine improves the quality, but I've seen better. The camera over-all is easy to use and does take good photos, but the really annoying part for me is the zoom lever. Due to it's location on the top of the camera next to the shutter button and small size, it can be a real pain to fine tune zoom adjustments. This camera seems to respond just a bit slower than my 1010 (start-up and shutter lag), but nothing to be concerned about. I think with a little refinement of ergonomics, slight size/weight reduction, and a better image sensor (quality, not more Megapixels) this camera could be Great!
