Care must be taken to only open the camera when high and dry. Make sure the packing is absolutely spotless before closing to maintain a waterproof seal. I used the camera while snorkeling and on the beach. My flash card became corrupted after shooting all day, in and out of the water. This camera will work well if used in a limited context with a formatted card dedicated to underwater photos.
