Other Comments: I own -and have owned- a number of compact digital cameras. Actually, it's pretty hard to find a really "bad" one nowadays ..but I'm absolutely delighted with my new Nikon Coolpix P300! Very compact, very versatile w/manual control if you like, and very easy to get great pictures in any mode! Good video capability too. The big, clear LCD viewfinder is outstanding! It has certainly become one of my favorites and would highly recommend it! The package I got from Beach Camera included a spare battery ..a nice thing to have.. and another thing about this camera I like is it seems to have excellent battery longevity.I actually kept wondering when it was going to run down ..you seem to get a lot of "mileage" before it runs down, but it's always a good idea to carry along a charged spare battery. Battery life does seem conspicuously longer than many compacts I've used. All things considered, it's one of the most delightful compact cameras I've owned!
