I recently went to Hawaii with it and my whole family was impressed by the underwater pics and really jealous of what I could do with the camera. It was awesome not having to worry about getting the camera wet or sandy. Understand that I am camping or fishing two or three times a week, so this camera is perfect for the mountains. You are sacrificing a super sharp image for other capabilities(waterproof, ect.), so keep that in mind that it just depends on what you are going to do with it.
