Other Comments: I've been on vacation in the US and wanted a compact camera with good optical zoom. This camera does just that. In particular, the panorama feature does a great job of capturing wilderness landscapes from roadside Viewpoints without the usual fuss. Video facility captured nephews/nieces water skiing (from within a bouncing boat) and transfer to PC/Mac has been smooth. Screen has coped well with your powerful sunlight. It has been everything I hoped for. Small downside is that, as I've always found with small digital cameras, framing just the right amount of subject via the zoom can be very fiddly.
