Pros: very nice, pleasant images

Cons: no touch screen like Nikon 1 J4 (more expensive model, but that feature is useless for underwater photography.
sharp, punchy lens but no VR and not as wide as 10-30mm (comes with J4).
micro SD card instead of reg SD. You need an adapter or a reader to download the images to a computer

I got this one for underwater photos. I had a Nikon AW1 that leaked too easily. The S2 with the enclosure is bulkier (like a very small DSLR) but it is a pleasure to use. All the functions are accessible (except the built in flash, which is useless underwater as it is on axis with the lens and would just light up the particles suspended in water). The camera + enclosure is neutrally buoyant, so it does not sink like a brick, not it is hard to take underwater. The Nikon 1 series are undervalued. Maybe Nikon priced them too high at first but once they get discounted these are a great value. I love the colors and the sharpness.
