Family reunions photos of friends and landscapes. I like to use the micro on flowers and bugs. I have ran across some very unusual ones. I had trouble with the zoom at first, it was fuzzy and out of focus. Was a simple fix. I put it on the 1.4 zone and it stays in focus now. I am very impressed with the 50 X, and the micro. Still learning about all the features. The using of the framing viewfinder is smaller than my old camera. I like the one on my older camera better but it will do. The only thing I was disappointed in the viewing screen it smudges way too easy compared to my old camera. My old screen was much easier to clean. I would recommend this camera for most people. If you'd like to bring a distant object close. After you download use the zoom on your computer. Incredible detail. It's great. I use it for family reunions, micro, portraits and landscapes. The micro four flowers and bugs. I have seen some unusual ones. I really like 50 X zoom. Had a little trouble with it at first being fuzzy and not focused. Simple fix set it on 1.4 Setting works great now. Even at maximum zoom it gives you a great picture. When you download to your computer. Use the zoom on it. It gives you incredible detail on your micro shots. I like the viewfinder for my shooting. The one on my old camera was better. But this will do fine. The only thing I was disappointed in how easy it viewscreen smudged. On my old camera it was easy to clean the screen. This camera is harder to clean. I would recommend using one of clear covers. They offer for it. I'm still learning the features. But so far I have really enjoyed the camera. I would recommend it to family and friends. I also have another expensive true DSLR camera and this works just as good for quick everyday pics. It does many things other cameras do not do. Fantastic 50X optical zoom and built-in effects. It's best to use a "mono-pod" to steady the camera for long zooms. For this price the camera is a steal. Fuji has blown away the competition in this price range with this new camera.
