It stays put on the dashboard unlike the original garmin mount I have. The Honda Odyssey has a particularly sloped dashboard so this does the trick. Someone mentioned shaking but I have had no problem with this at all. I am very happy with this mount and the price. I finally used silicone on a round disk to get it to stick firmly to my dash on my Volvo, only because I wasn't concerned with resale of that car. Nothing worked well on the Mercedes until this came along. Holds the Garmin firmly in place with no slippage and I don't have to worry about the Garmin falling off and hitting the shifter or something else that would damage it. I will buy again as I'm replacing the Volvo with another Mercedes. Cons: It's a little big but that's not a huge deal for me.
