Pros: Easy Menus, Simple Controls, Reliable Performance, Bright Screen, Easy To Set Up, Easy to Remove, Easy To Read, Large Screen
Cons: Volume is too low, Boots really slowly, Acquires Satellites Slowly
Other Comments: Overall, for a small GPS, the Nuvi 5000 works well. My biggest complaint is that it takes too long to "boot" when it is first switched on. When I need to go somewhere, I have to wait about a minute before the Nuvi is ready to start accepting input. That's a minute for me sitting idle in my car.
However, once it's ready to go, it works well, is accurate and the bright screen is easy to see in any lighting conditions. It's a shame they stopped making the 5000.
Oh, I was also impressed by the automated update process once I connected it to my computer. That's what the internet was made for!
