Review submitted for Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator That's Born to Ride (GRZUMO550)
Pros: Easy Menus, Easy To Read, Completly water proof, Acquires Satellites Quickly, Simple Controls, Reliable Performance
Cons:
Other Comments: I love the Zumo 550. I have been patiently waiting for the price to drop and finally pulled the trigger and bought one from buydig.com, the lowest price at the time. [...] The Zumo is everything it is talked up to be. Super water proof, the main reason for getting it. I have been in some rediculous downpoors and the thing never misses a beat, I'm impressed. Also very shock resistant, been on some very bumpy rides and the unit keeps working with out hesitation. I love the blue tooth's capabilities and the XM option, although I do not have the XM puck yet. The screen is easy to see in the sun light which is saying alot about the overall quality. All the accessories that come in the box are top quality. This is such a nice unit I can't say enough. I have this on my Honda ST1300 and have used it for several trips so far. You can download locations using google maps right to your garmin Zumo 550 using the included USB cable connection, this is a really nice feature. The only thing that I'm not totally please with is the blue tooth is only mono and not stereo. So when you get the MP3 player by way of the headset it is not that great of sound quality. But this is no reason to not get one.

5 out of 5 stars   THUMBS UP ZUMO 550

Review submitted for Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator That's Born to Ride (GRZUMO550)
Pros: Easy Menus, Simple Controls, Large Screen, Acquires Satellites Quickly, Compact, Easy To Read
Cons:
Other Comments: I needed to call Garmin to properly download the program to my computer. I had an old Garmin Streetpilot 2720 that after 6 years quit. I use the Zumo 550 on my Honda Goldwing. It does everything I want it to do and after properly loaded it is a snap to use as a GPS, XM, Weather and MP2

5 out of 5 stars   Better get one while you still can!!

Review submitted for Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator That's Born to Ride (GRZUMO550)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Reliable Performance, Easy To Read, Easy Menus, Simple Controls
Cons: Bulky
Other Comments: Yes, this is an older model GPS. Garmin got everything right with the Zumo 550. I originally bought a Garmin 765T to "get around" the high price of the Zumo 550. What an expensive mistake. DO not let the price turn you off like it did me. What you have to understand is that this unit is built like a brick. It comes with RAM motorcycle mounts and all cables necessary for motorcycle mounting. It comes with a car mount and separate cables for the car. There is NO switching mounts or cables from car to bike. Simply unsnap the unit, move it, and that's it! The wide screen of the newer units is not good for GPS. Think about it..... you need to see where you are going (bottom to top of the screen) NOT side to side! The 765T I have has a wide screen and its not as good as the tall, square screen on the Zumo which shows much more of what IS IN FRONT OF YOU. I don't need to see what is 5 blocks to the left or right. My 765T now resides in my wife's car and it does a fine job there. If you ride a motorcycle, and you want GPS on it, this is the ONLY GPS you should consider and you better get one before they are gone!

Review submitted for Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator That's Born to Ride (GRZUMO550)
Pros: Compact, Reliable Performance, Easy To Read, Acquires Satellites Quickly, Easy To Set Up, Easy Menus, Simple Controls
Cons:
Other Comments: While the screen is small, it still succinctly delivers the NAV info you need while not distracting from the primary job of operating your "steed." I installed an XM30 radio simultaneously with this GPS--interface is excellent, audio is wonderful when installed correctly. Overall, I am very pleased with the Z550!

4 out of 5 stars   What I expected

Review submitted for Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle Navigator That's Born to Ride (GRZUMO550)
Pros: Simple Controls, Compact, Acquires Satellites Quickly
Cons: Map is inaccurate, Inaccurate
Other Comments: I use it with the cycle and My wife and I also transfer it to the cars. Only complaint I have is the map with the Zumo is sometimes inaccurate and only shows the street names on the right side streets not always on the left, as some of our city streets have different street names on the opposite side of the main road.

Pros: Acquires Satellites Quickly
Cons:
Other Comments: I have the unit installed on a BMW K1200LT motorcycle and it works great. The mounting hardware which came with the 550 allowed quick, straightforward installation. Couldn't ask for a better or more well suited product for the long trips I tend to take on the bike.

Pros: Simple Controls, Easy To Read, Acquires Satellites Quickly
Cons: Short Battery Life

Pros: Compact, Reliable Performance, Simple Controls, Acquires Satellites Quickly, Easy Menus, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Read
Cons:
Other Comments: I bought the Zumo 550 for Touring on my motorcycle. I looked at several units before making my purchase. I am very pleased with this unit. It is easy to use and can withstand the beating we give this it on our trips. I wish the screen was a little brighter during the day. I am able to read the screen but it does require more attention than is comfortable.
