Beach and laptop great. Windows 10 not so much

Pros: Best Buy screwed up my order. Beach had my computer in stock and delivered it on schedule.
Beach did it all for considerably less money than Best Buy and customer service was far better than Best Buy.
Love the backlit keyboard on this unit and the screen size. It's so much nicer in low light conditions. This is my third pavilion from HP and I am very happy with Beach and HP.
Cons: Windows 10. I was happy with Vista for the most part. 10 is all about getting as much personal information as possible. They want to give as much info to their marketing partners as they can collect from you.
Be careful with the features labeled for your convenience. Some of their apps require total access to all your information and will be shared with others. That feels risky with the amount of breaches and other threats out there.
Other Comments: Would like to see HP and other manufacturers partner and develop independent OS programs that don't have the intrusive apps and forced updating that windows now have.
I was fine with vista, until the update that shut down my machine. I have used the recovery discs to restore my old computer and it still works as a backup and for creating and playing dvd's.
Microsoft and Apple for that matter, both want to act like you are here to be used for their profit.
Their programs have more control over your machine and information than you do!
Please be aware of convenience apps and the information you share.
