Buying an HP7610?

Pros: I purchased mine for a very low price, Although it did not come with cartridges. A Quick trip to the local Walgreens, and that problem was disposed of. About 15 minutes later I was printing, and for the first time I was able to print my ship plans of 12x18 paper. Text printing is neat and even, graphics are also neat, with the colors being a bit faded from the actual photo. That can be adjusted for. The HUGE paper tray will hold about 250 sheets of 8.5 x11 paper, so it can take a while before you run out. Graphics printing was accurate to my eye.
Cons: This thing is huge. It is heavy. It easily fits into a space where you could put TWO standard size printers!!! There are four print cartridges, magenta, yellow, cyan, and black. The color cartridges are noticeably smaller than the black, and they will run out first. They do not print as many pages as HP claims. Finding a way/source to refill your ink carts will be a good project.
Other Comments: The HP 7610 is already the favorite of all my printers I've had through the years. I admit, part of it may be because of having to cut and patch pages together to get the correct scale printed on a ship building project. With the HP 7610, It's a cinch. I've had the printer about two weeks now, and I'm quite happy with my investment in it.
