Pros: QUALITY ITEM, RUNS WELL WJEN SET UP
Cons: DIFFICULT TO SET UP,NEEDED TO CALL HP TECH HELP X3 NOT AS GOOD TO OPERATE AS MY OLD OFFICEJET HP 6500 WHICH RAN FOR 6 YEARS NO PROBLEMS UNTIL SCANNING STOPPED. IT WAS A SIMPLE EFFECTIVE IN ALL OPS SCAN, FAX, PRINT AND FILES FOR SCAN, THE 8600 IS DIFFICULT TOO ELECTRONIC

Pros: I like HP products and this printer is no exception. I was looking for a printer that was less expensive to operate and the jury is still out on that score (recent purchase). It performs very well and I'm pleased.
Cons: Printing a single envelope is not as convenient as you would expect but it's not a game changer for me.

Pros: Easy Install Fast Printing Fast Scanning
Cons: Install took forever HP tries to con you into buying their paper Printer does not function unless it meets HP ink standards One of a kind ink for this printer too
Other Comments: I would have given this printer 5 stars except that HP is always trying to force you to buy their stuff. My first print looked horrible but if you reset the quality to draft and off custom paper to plain paper you can beat them.

Other Comments: printer set up in less than 30 minutes. printed test page and turned off. At the first use the printer powered up with printer failure notice. Called HP tech support and worked through problem. They sent new print head but it took 11 days, not good, but it resolved the problem. Tech support was OK. Buydig was great, offered to allow me to return but I opted for the repair.
