Pros: The color is the best that I've seen in quite some on any printer. Trust me I've owned just about every make there are. The speed in which documents print out are also great. For the money, it was a sound investment.
Cons: Just a little noisy when printing. . . I can live with it.

Pros: Fast and large paper feeder. Best part is that it has separate ink cartridges that are very large.
Cons: Ink cartridges can not be refilled and new ones are quite expensive.
Other Comments: If you purchase this printer, use the supplied CD to set it up. Do not set up through the internet. I wasted a lot of time doing that only to re-do using the supplied CD.

Pros: Fast, very easy setup. No disc to run. Plug and play. This is how it ought to be.
Cons: To print envelopes, you have to remove paper tray, insert the envelope reposition the paper guides, reinstall the paper tray, and print. With previous HP printers all you had to do was placed the envelope on top of the paper tray and it would pick up the envelope from the top of the eight and a half by 11 paper. A much easier way to do it.
Other Comments: Please, HP, solve the envelope printing issue.

Pros: While I have not had this very long, the HP8610 Officjet has many wonderful features such as the duplexer and the easy copier/scanner. I have long enjoyed the quality of Hewlett Packard printers with my 1994 HP520 printer still a great printer. I have used Canon and Epson as well as Xerox laser printers but the HP quality stands out above them all.
