4 out of 5 stars   Good camera for the price

Review submitted for JVC Everio GZ-HD500B - 80GB HDD and micro SD/SDHC card slot High-Def Camcorder (JVCGZHD500B)
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Zoom range/performance, Great Picture Quality
Cons: Poor In Low Light, Short battery life, Complicated To Operate
Other Comments: Pretty good camera for the price. Although the LCD screen is so crowded with information, it's hard to tell when record is on. And there is no power button, stays on when opened resulting in a very short battery life. Little grainy in low light but that's normal. Has manual operation options which I like too.

Other Comments: Took awhile to figure out how to copy to DVD disk. Takes forever to convert the AVCHD to DVD format, but ok AVCHD to AVCHD on a DVD-r disk. Must have a Player that recognizes the AVCHD format.
