Action shots of the Horse events and closeup images of the kids with farm animals. I managed to get 200 shots out of a fresh set of batteries. Half the shots were inside with flash. The only drawback with action shoting is framing the shots without a viewfinder takes some time to learn. The macro function was an added bonus with the craft work displayed by the local 4F club. My wife seems to like the camera as well ... She thinks its very easy to use . She has started to carrying it with her in her purse.Mmmm, I may have lost the use of that one.... I lose things and would have enjoyed a more expensive camera. I will not be afraid to take this camera everywhere and not worry about the camera too much. I have not read the book yet or used the special features and my photos look good. I can also magnify and crop at the photo counter to enhance my photos without sacrificing clarity. I have not noticed distortion. Bigger than my other camera but this camera takes 2xA batteries so I would expect a bigger camera. It still fits in my old case. Lag time allows you to show subject your photo. This camera has aperature priority which I have not looked into yet. I like the setting wheel at the top instead of all the features on the screen display. I thought I would miss the viewfinder but I just try my best and shoot.
