It performs mostly as expected. Mostly because I did not expect that you could not turn off the power when the auxiliary input is in use (use with my laptop). I contacted Klipsch and they confirmed that it automatically comes on and stays on when a cable is plugged into the auxiliary port. This means that to turn it off you either have to unplug the cable from the back or unplug the power cord. The docking station works well. Recommendation - do not purchase this unit if the auxiliary will be the primary input source due to the power issue. Otherwise I recommend this for the sound quality. Originally we tried a new ihome in the same price range as what we paid for the refurbished igroove and were not impressed. Having other refurbished Klipsch products we decided to take the plunge given the 1yr warranty and Buydig's reputation and were happy we did so. We were both impressed on how the music (even though it is only stereo) seems to envelop you and the sound draws you in. some people complain about the fact that it has only 3 buttons.
