Verified Purchase Review submitted for LG 47SL90 - 47" 1080p 120Hz Edge-lit LED LCD TV (LG47SL90) Pros: Outstanding picture clarity/resolution, Energy Efficient, Best looking TV out there, Good Remote Control, Setup is as easy as it gets, All the connections options I could ever need, Great Picture Quality Cons: Glare Other Comments: Before purchasing this television, I dedicated a considerable amount of time to researching flat-screen HD televisions. The television I replaced was nearly a decade old, and it was time for an upgrade. From my research, I concluded that the LG 47SL90 had all of the features I wanted, at a price I could afford. The picture clarity is flawless. It has great color contrast, it's easy to set up, and the picture gets as close to the true darks of its plasma counterparts as could be expected. Old movies have suddenly become new... It's great! Plus, the seamless edge-to-edge panel makes for an aesthetically pleasing presentation, whether it's on or off. While this television has perfectly suited my needs, there is some truth to its critics' reviews. Its glass panel does increase the glare across the screen, if it is not thoughtfully positioned. I would suggest placing it in rooms with low-light and fewer windows. Further, the "tru-motion" feature does create a blurring effect while watching some basic cable programs and movies; however, there is an easy solution… turn it off. Aside from these shortcomings, of which I was well-aware of prior to purchasing this television, I have been very pleased with my purchase!
