  [...] By fried003 on September 24, 2015 Review submitted for LG 60UF8500 - 60-Inch 2160p 240Hz 3D 4K Ultra HD LED UHD Smart TV WebOS (LG60UF8500) Pros: NONE so fa Cons: The TV needs to be paired with the "magic" remote. Maybe the problem is they also didn't provide the magic words, because it didn't work. After LG tech support tried several times to coach me, they finally relented & sent a new remote. Once again, the same result as the new remote won't pair-up. So LG set me up with a local repair shop. They decided to replace the MasterBoard. The part has been ordered so once it's in, they'll call to set-up an appointment. However, since they say that my house is a bit out of their normal service area, they won't fix my TV until they have another service call in the same general vicinity. Other Comments: If I ever get this TV functioning, I will never like it. This will leave a bitter taste no matter what the picture & sound turn out to be. I'm also assuming this fix will will do the job, which may be a real leap-of-faith. The set does power-ON & the volume control does work, if it could ever get past the remote pairing thing. Additionally, it's up to me to dis-mount & re-mount it. I didn't ask LG about this,as that's likely a dead end. I hired someone for that, now I'll have to pay a fee two more times. This problem is by no means a reflection on Beach Camera [...] They were easy to work with & helpful throughout the buying process. Additionally they did a fine job with double-boxing the set, that is, they took the un-opened box containing the TV & placed it in an even bigger box, reinforced with industrial strength bubble wrap. They also worked with the carrier to match the delivery date to my preferred date. This problem is not the result of shipping or handling, it's a manufacturing defect.   New 60 inch LG smart tv. June 19, 2015 Review submitted for LG 60UF8500 - 60-Inch 2160p 240Hz 3D 4K Ultra HD LED UHD Smart TV WebOS (LG60UF8500) Pros: The Smart remote is a fairly nice feature. This unit has good sound. Cons: I bought this 4KHD LED UHD Smart tv to replace an 8 year old Samsung 54 inch. Sadly, I think the picture on the 8 year old Samsung was much better than the new LG. Also it does nothing to dampen the extremely loud commercials (the ones that are much loader than the program you are watching).
