  Amazing TV - not so great on streaming 4K so far. By Jrad on July 29, 2016
Verified Purchase Review submitted for LG 65EF9500 - 65-Inch 2160p 4K UHD Smart 3D OLED TV w/ webOS 2.0 (LG65EF9500) Pros: Regular HD picture is stunning. Sound is excellent. Best 3D I've ever seen - movie theaters included. Bluray (1080) is out of this world amazing. (I don't have a 4K bluray player yet, but will update this when I get it). Cons: - So far 4K/UHD playback from Netflix and Amazon Prime is not great. 1080P playback from streaming has a better picture than 4K (I'm wired in at 150mbps from FiOS, not wi/fi). - Not a huge fan of the magic wand remote control. - No Apps to get HBO Now. Other Comments: I was skeptical buying from Buydig, as I'd never heard of them before and they were about $1,000 less than everyone else selling this 65 inch LG OLED. The TV was delivered on time and was exactly as described. I couldn't have been more impressed or happy with the purchase itself. The TV itself is stunning, the picture (in 1080P) is the best I've ever seen. So far though I'm disappointed in the 4K playback from Netflix/Amazon Prime - the picture is not nearly as good as touted in terms of 4K. The 3D playback is off the charts incredible - and the glasses are standard plastic, nothing to charge or plug into. The remote kind of sucks, it's a magic wand style (like Nintendo Wii) and can get annoying at times. Overall the quality is jaw dropping for 1080P - but as I've noted several times the 4K playback from streaming sources leaves a lot to be desired (hard wired in at 150 mbps from FiOS - I'm not using not Wifi). There is no built in app to get HBO Now which blows if you want current HBO content like GoT because you can't get it from Netflix or Amazon Prime (without paying extra). There is no 4K playback from the Vudu app on this TV. Vudu is there but the option to play 4K content is not (I had to research this and found that this TV doesn't have the Vudu firmware to play 4K/UHD content - and software updates do not fix that issue).   The Most Awesome TV Ever!!!! By USN_Retired on July 11, 2016 Review submitted for LG 55EF9500 - 55-Inch 2160p 4K UHD Smart 3D Flat OLED TV w/ webOS 2.0 (LG55EF9500) Pros: Picture quality and detail Deep Blacks Viewing angle Just as wide as the 50" Pioneer Plasma that it replaced Connectivity TV's have come a long way since I purchased my Pioneer Plasma in January 2007, going from 720P to 4K is a big difference. This was cheaper than the Pioneer Plasma I purchased 9 and a half years ago. Cons: Sound is a little lacking compared to the Pioneer TV that basically came with a soundbar on the bottom of it. Other Comments: Just the most clear and vibrant picture I've seen. My son has the 55" curved 1080P and that has a great picture as well, but I think with the curve you need to sit more in the center to see it properly.
