The blade needed sharpening upon arrival. I'm finicky, but it seems to hold an edge well. I've used it to open packages, cut sticks, thick rose bush branches and a mower belt that got stuck in my riding mower that it sliced easily through. It still has a good edge. The pliers work well for small to medium stuff. I did some basic electrical work and the tool worked perfectly. The wire cutters did their job perfectly fine. I found that if I keep the tool in an L shape, I can get a little extra torque to break a stubborn screw loose. Overall, a good little pocket tool to use for everyday general use.
