Other Comments: I was given an earlier version of this product as a Fathers Day present about 7 yrs ago. Kept it on my key ring and used it occasionally. Then I broke the pliers trying to cut hanger wire. I contacted the Leatherman to see if I could get it repaired ...I just wanted to pay to have it fixed. To my surprise it was covered under a 25 yr warranty ...even though I did not have the purchase receipt. I sent it to the company and they apologized that they could not repair it and that the model I owned was no longer manufactured.So they asked if it was okay if they upgraded it to the new model (this model). They didn't even charge me for shipping. Leatherman now has a customer for life. I have since bought three more of these (black, blue & red) and have given them to friends and family as Christmas presents. I plan to buy more as time unfolds.

I've used to change broken light bulbs, file down sharp metal corners and cut percise peices of duct tape for little repairs. If it's small, your more likly to have it, if you have it, you'll use it. Get one.

I find it difficult to cut the summer sausage I take to spice up my red beans and rice dinners. Of course packing a longer blade would make it heavier and negate the light weight.
