Like they say better safe than sorry. It would be dumb not to invest in your equipments future and best of all it's fully transferable so in 1-2 years when I sell the cam to upgrade I can add a few bucks for the warranty and it would be an easier sell. However, I went ahead with this one because it includes: Accidental Damage Unintentional Abuse Impact damage San/Grit Damage Mechanical Malfunctions Excessive wear and tear Of course I cannot testify to it's service, value, etc. because I haven't needed to use it. Also, I am a little concerned about the actual repair, if needed, is limited to the provider of the contract. Time will tell. Researching the MACK warranty I found it covers ACCIDENTAL damage and now they even cover SPILLS. Beach has provided this warranty at the lowest cost in the past, and that was still true this time.
