I have a NETGEAR router already, so, the set-up was even easier. I recommend using this product with compatible other NETGEAR equipment. The extender takes the existing signal and replicates it. You will see a new wifi network (the network is named the same as your original but with an "EXT" added to it). Also, I have a dual-band router and both signals have been perfectly extended through two garage walls into my backyard.
