Other Comments: I finally got a chance to use this microphone recently with my Nikon D5100 to record a video and it really performs well & produces great audio. I take video and pictures for events and parties so it definitely comes in handy on occasions when I need to do both. It allows me to carry less equipment. The camera will only record in mono without the microphone. I highly recommend this device to anyone that does video with Nikon d3100 & 5100 cameras, you will have a much better end product.
