Pros: Extra battery support, ability to use AA batteries (which adds FPS speed), extra controls come in handy when shooting in portrait mode.
Cons: Much too expensive if bought at Nikon's asking price. It is exactly the same product as the grip for the Nikon 300/700 series cameras (except connectors are different), at twice the asking price. You should be ashamed, Nikon!! It's just plain greed.
Other Comments: BuyDig had a good price, so I bought the product. It arrived without literature or the AA battery tray, but BuyDig stood behind the product and obtained the missing tray and sent it to me. I am very happy with the resolution and will buy from BuyDig again.
