Belt loop in back is sewn closed, no velcro, meaning you have to open belt to slip on and off. Not an issue for me as I use a neck strap on the camera. Has two sewn elastic pockets inside, side by side across length of bag. Unfortunately these are only big enough to hold memory cards, not batteries.
