Pros: Big Zoom Range, Seems sturdy, Good battery life, Low Light Photography
Cons: Some Shutter Lag
Other Comments: Bought this camera to take on a sight seeing vacation in southwest National Parks. We also used it at a family event, and a theatrical performance. While a few pictures were out of focus, we've taken hundreds of gorgeous pictures in a number of different settings: outdoor scenary, indoor family events, even a musical review in which our daughter performed. Overall, we are very pleased. We've hardly used the flash at all.
A couple negatives should be noted. A modest shutter lag makes it difficult to catch our young grandkids in just the right pose. They don't sit still long. Also, the autofocus feature struggles a bit to catch a moving target, especially at higher zoom levels.
We were also pleased to get a package deal, including a table top tripod, memory card, and lens cleaning kit while paying no more than what other retailers were charging to the camera alone.
It is a nice step up from our older Canon that finally gave up the ghost.
