As such, this gorgeously constructed 10 MP digicam produces results that at times compare favorably with what you can achieve with DSLR's - in particular, in RAW file mode. JPG's have a rich quality to them, but unfortunately, Olympus (as of this writing - and they could change this with a firmware update) the user does not have the ability to change or adjust noise reduction settings for JPG images. RAW files are characterized by superb definition and rich colors and there are several 3rd party sources that make accessories for the XZ-1. Without a doubt (and I have most of the current enthusiast models from various brands), the XZ-1 is a capable (no make that, superb) advanced digicam. Get to know it well - read the online manual and experiment. The photos you can achieve with this camera will amaze you.
