Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: VERY BRIGHT, LIGHT CANNON. MAKES 3D VIEWING EASIER WITH LESS EYE FATIGUE, AND MORE VIBRANT BECAUSE OF THE ABILITY TO BRIGHTEN THE IMAGE.
Cons: NO MANUAL IN THE BOX??? EVEN THOUGH IT HAS EXCELLENT BRIGHTNESS, YOU MUST CONSTANLY ADJUST ALL THE SETTINGS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CHANGING SOURCE. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ON MY JVC PROJECTOR. THE FAN IS SIMPLY TOO NOISY, ALMOST LIKE THIS UNIT IS MADE FOR OUTDOOR USE.

July 16, 2014
Review submitted for Optoma HD131X, HD (1080p), 2500 ANSI Lumens, 3D-Home Theater Projector, White (OPHD131XEWH)
Pros: Good contrast and brightness Very good 3D 1080p picture quality is too good at 15ft distance projecting 150" screen
Cons:
Other Comments: Previously i owned Optoma H31 projector for 9 years and recently the dvi input stopped working so i had to upgrade and found this model. Buydig shipping was superfast. I also bought Estar DLP-Link 3D glasses and it worked great and i watched 6 3D movies already in 3 weeks of owning it. I am totally happy on this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars   such a sweet deal
By buttons on July 15, 2014
Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: 1080p, excellent 3d, quiet, pretty loud internal speaker for unique occassions, excellent black levels
Cons: long throw distance, hard to calibrate colors
Other Comments: I have wanted another projector for a long long time, but didnt have a house to accommodate one. We are currently shopping to buy a house and i saw this deal hit for $599 and couldnt say no. I painted my kitchen wall sherwin williams flat white that is a smooth finish with decent reflective qualities. Anyrate, ive watched a few movies on it from a bluray source and they are phenomenal. To the person that is [...] about colors, skin tones, etc it might be a little frustrating but for the other 99% of us you wont even notice. Compared to my old projector an optoma hd71, this one blows it out of the water. i was worried that its picture would look washed out compared to my LED LCD TV, but no. In a dark room its superb.

Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: This is my first Projector. I am very satisfied. My first one had the famous vertical lines issue, and Buydig is so great and replaced it quickly. Now it works perfectly. 3D is great.
Cons: Not really, because I do not own any other project before.

Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: Simple and easy to use
Cons: No Laser Pointer On Remot, No printed manual
Other Comments: I am using this projector in the living room and projecting directly onto the wall from 19 feet away for movies and games (projected image width of 14 feet). The living room does have 4 large windows and the picture is faint during the day with bright sun. Pictures looks good on cloudy days and great at night. Two of the widows have blinds and curtains but the others are not covered with anything and one of them is next to the wall being projected onto. I think the picture would be good on sunny days with blinds on the bare windows. With 3 lamps on in the room, at night, the picture does not fade at all.

Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: Same As Hd25e In Black, Quiet fan, Very Good Blacks, Great Contrast, Less power consumption, Great Bulb Price, Better Brilliant Color, Nice remote, Great bulb life
Cons: Hdmi Ports Are Touchy, Price Jumps Around, Soft Focus In Two Corners
Other Comments: This unit has a very noticable difference in picture quality over both my hd65 and hd66 and its for the better. When viewing movies its amazing but is there is text in the corners you notice a defect in the optics where the bottom right and upper left are soft. Optoma is aware of this and I'm told they are accepting returns for warranty repair (lens replacement) I also discovered this unit appears to have all the same hardware and uses the same firmware as the hd25e except its in black and the marketing specs are slightly altered.(they never are close to measured real world specs anyway). good to know if you are on a budget. Even with the minor optic defect I would buy this unit again as the picture is more pleasing when viewed side by side with its competitors including the benq. 3d works great and has its own user setting for picture quality. Again, this is a huge upgrade for me over my HD66 and fit in the same congiguration with a similar throw.just be sure to monitor the price as it fluctuates more than the stock market up to about $100.00 from all vendors it seems...(bugdig had the best price thusday and amazon was $90.00 cheaper the following day)

5 out of 5 stars   One of the best purchases I have made
By Pablo on October 14, 2013
Review submitted for Optoma HD141X Full 3D 1080p 3000 Lumen DLP Home Theater Projector with MHL Enabled HDMI (OPHD131XE)
Pros: WOW factor, Picture Quality, Brightness
Cons: It Is Making Me Spoiled, Internal Speaker
Other Comments: My set up : -Projector is mounted on a 7.5' ceiling, about 14' away from the wall giving me about 100" image. -Projecting onto a wall which is painted yellow... -Digital cable and blue ray hooked up via hdmi -There is some daylight in the room, but it's limited Comments : For under $1000 (including projector, mount, screen and long HDMI cables), I was expecting this projector to be pretty good. I liked the idea of not having a TV as the centerpiece of the room and I also love watching movies and sports on a big screen. I am projecting directly onto the wall which is painted yellow and the colors all look perfect with stock settings. There is a little bit of noise when the image gets a little blurry (usually live sports). The black levels are not great, but passable for sure. Other than that, the picture is as good as I have seen on any TV I have seen. This includes the high end big screens in the big box stores. I am blown away. I may not even end up putting up the projector screen since it already looks amazing right on the wall. The picture is huge! 100" diagonal means the image is 4x the size of a 50" tv. It is incredible. If you have the space in a room with little natural light, buy this TV.
