It might as well be written in any other foreign language. It does not answer my questions and it is not written for a novice but rather assuming the owner has had many cameras and already knows how to set up the new one. I have been using compact point and shoots for years but was frustrated by the lack of any significant zoom to compose pictures. I also wanted a camera with a viewfinder with a diopter adjustment (I'm starting to need glasses). Other features I like: the menu seems intuitive; a lot of features are quickly accessible through a button on camera body (i.e.infinity focus) rendering menu/submenus unnecessary; its low light capability doesn't seem diminished in spite of its additional zoom capability.   Best digital camera ever By Potter Not Harry on June 07, 2010 Review submitted for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35K 12.1 Megapixel 18x Zoom Digital Camera (PNDMCFZ35K) Pros: Nice Body Color, True colors, Lightweight and Sturdy, Good in Low Light, Easy to use, Great Battery Life, Good Image Stabilization, Short Lag Time, Great Zoom Cons: Other Comments: I bought this after testing and having two different cannon's fail on me. Even though this camera is a bit bulky I throw it in my purse, in the car, in my backpack. I keep it with me all the time. I like taking photos of flowers at the Botanic gardens and the only negative I found was typical of digital camera's the focus on white colors can pop, but this camera has a focus lock and so if you use it you can avoid that a little. Action pictures of humming birds are incredible when using a tripod. I would have liked a bit bigger view finder but at least it has one!! Love the soft focus in portrait mode.
