Verified Purchase Review submitted for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 Silver Shockproof Freezeproof Dustproof Camera (PNDMCTS3S) Pros: Easy To Use, Good in Low Light, Small / Compact, Good Image Quality, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Stabilization Cons: Short Battery Life Other Comments: This camera replaces a small Fuji F30 camera I used to use with a big clunky underwater housing over it. I'll be comparing the Panasonic to that. Many times I've chosen to leave the old waterproof housing home (or just forgot it) and regretted it. On the other hand I finally found a camera that is tough, waterproof and takes decent pictures. I can always have it with me no matter where I'm going. I'm an SLR user and my previous pocket camera had all the manual settings for shutter and aperture along with high sensitivity. This Panasonic camera has almost no manual settings, but an enormous amount of scene choices with adjustments. It's just something I had to get used to. I haven't really found there was something I needed to do that one of the scene settings didn't cover. It takes nice pictures even at high ISO settings of 1600+. I also love the look on people's faces when I walk into the pool with it around my wrist. It looks like a normal camera. On the con side: the GPS is neat, but takes a very long time to locate. It's not a set it and forget it. If you leave it on, then shut off the camera, travel somewhere else, turn the camera back on, I've had up to ½ hr of pictures with the previous location tagged on the new pictures. Obviously it's worse if your new location is indoors. The other con, even with the GPS off, it chews through batteries. The batteries are about ½ the capacity of my old Fuji and last about 1/10 the time. You need to carry spares because you cannot last a whole day shooting.
