I was a lifetime, dedicated user of another famous brand, but the image quality from that line seems to have deteriorated in the 6 years since I bought my last digital camera (which recently gave up the ghost). I read many reviews and settled on the Panasonic because it claimed to have a short shutter lag time, good image stabilization, an image burst feature, and most importantly, sharp photos. It has delivered on every count and I couldn't be more pleased. On a recent trip it provided great grab shots from the car and excellent pictures of young, fast-moving family members. Haven't found any cons about it yet in three weeks of picture taking. It's made me a happy gal. And I ain't *that* easy to please.
